Janus Investment [profile] has filed to merge the Janus Global Research Fund into the Janus Worldwide Fund.

The combined Fund will be renamed Janus Global Research Fund, but will have the expense structure of Janus Worldwide Fund.

According to the filing, the decision to merge the funds "was based largely on similarities of the funds’ investment objectives, strategies and policies, as well as the anticipated expense efficiencies due to the larger asset base of the combined Fund after the merger."

The fund, which had a year-to-date performance of 13.34 percent, had won a 2012 Lipper Award as the Best Global Multi-Cap Growth Fund over 5 years.
