The Artisan Partners [profile] initial public offering is just around the corner.

On Monday the Milwaukee-based mutual fund shop amended its S-1 filing to include a price range for its IPO. Then today Paul Gores of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that, according to the IPO experts at Renaissance Capital, Artisan will IPO next week.

Artisan's amended filing prices the IPO at $27 to $29 per share, valuing the offering at $322 million at the midpoint and valuing all of Artisan at $1.86 billion.
