Growth funds are not entirely dead. This week Mellon's Dreyfus unit filed with the SEC to launch a new large cap growth fund. The new fund is set to be part of the Dreyfus Growth and Value Funds Inc. series.
The new fund will be named the Dreyfus Premier Large Cap Growth Fund and will offer A, B, C and T class shares.
