Cohen & Steers [profile] announced its U.S. open-end mutual fund flows and AUM for the month and eight months ending August 31.

Its AUM was $14.1 billion for the beginning of the period for month ended August 31 and $12.4 billion for the beginning of the eighth month period ending August 31. Inflows for the month were $338 million and inflows for the eight months came to $3.7 billion. Outflows were higher than inflows for the month, at $397 million and outflows for the eighth months were lower than inflows at $2.8 billion.

The total for AUM at the end of the period came to $13.2 billion for the month and eighth months. AUM for the month decreased by $830 million and AUM for the eight months increased by $797 million.
