Wavelength Capital Surfs into Mutual Fund Waters

Reported by Katie Lobosco

Wavelength Capital Management is one of the latest asset managers to catch the mutual fund bug.

The Wavelength Interest Rate Neutral Fund launched today will reportedly invest in government bonds, inflation-linked bonds, USD-dominated emerging market debt, convertible bonds and corporate securities.

“Focusing on factors we believe to be significant to interest rate policy and engineering fixed income investments to target balance across them provides an alternative approach for investors facing less familiar risks and future market uncertainty," said Andrew Dassori, the founding partner and chief investment officer at Wavelength Capital.

MFWire reported in July that Dassori would be the PM for the firm's flagship mutual fund offering. The product will be distributed through Ultimus Fund Distributors.

Wavelength Capital Management Launches Interest Rate Neutral Fund/h3> Flagship Offering Takes Alternative Approach to Fixed Income Investing

NEW YORK -- Wavelength Capital Management, LLC (“Wavelength”) announced today the launch of its flagship mutual fund offering - the Wavelength Interest Rate Neutral Fund (Class I: WAVLX) - which is designed to provide fixed income investors with a neutral exposure to interest rate movements using an alternative investment approach.

Unlike traditional fixed income investments, the fund seeks a neutral exposure to interest rate movements by targeting a balance across macroeconomic conditions that Wavelength believes drive changes in interest rates.

“Many fixed income investors have benefited from the downward path taken by US interest rates since the early 1980s, but the future trajectory is decidedly uncertain,” said Andrew Dassori, Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer, Wavelength. “Focusing on factors we believe to be significant to interest rate policy and engineering fixed income investments to target balance across them provides an alternative approach for investors facing less familiar risks and future market uncertainty.”

The fund invests primarily in fixed income markets, including government bonds, inflation-linked bonds, USD-denominated emerging market debt, convertible bonds and corporate securities, by purchasing bonds, derivative instruments and exchange-traded notes or funds related to these markets.

The Wavelength Interest Rate Neutral Fund (Class I: WAVLX) will be listed on the NASDAQ and distributed to external investors through Ultimus Fund Distributors, LLC.
