Amy Resnick recently hired Danielle Walker, a new asset management senior reporter for Crain's Pensions and Investments (P&I). Walker started this month at P&I's New York office. She will work alongside Douglas Appell, Rick Baert, and Christine Williamson, who are all P&I senior reporters focusing on money management.

Prior to joining, Walker worked as a reporter at FundFire, a Financial Times publication for three years. Word is that the FT team will search for a successor soon.

Walker and a spokesperson from the FT both declined to comment. Resnick did not immediately return a call for comment.

Walker has a master's degree in journalism with a focus in magazine writing from New York University's Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute. She also graduated with a bachelor's from the University of Virginia where she double majored in English and African & African-American Studies. Walker also has experience working in Haymarket Media Group, Inside Business, and as a freelancer back in 2008.
