"I think it's a great program, I think the managers we recognize are very strong and thoughtful in terms of building a good supportive culture at their firm," Julie Tatge
, P&I's executive editor, tells MFWire
Although nominations are open, Tatge says that the selection process takes place over several months. P&I works with program partner Best Companies Group to send out questionnaires to all firms that meet the program's criteria (the company must have at least 20 U.S.-based employees and at least $100 million in discretionary assets under management or advisement). The data from the two-part questionnaire, one for employers and the other for employees, is used to assemble a ranking. P&I will publish the results in a special report in December. In 2019
, a record 76 firms were recognized.
"[The program] is something we take very seriously," says Tatge. "It's alway super-interesting on our end to see what sort of things [firms are] doing to build a strong culture, which is so important in this day."
