The team at the financial technology firm
FLX Distribution is
expanding. Four members have been added to the FLX Portfolio Service Team (PST). In addition,
Grail Partners LLC founder
Darlene DeRemer
has joined FLX's advisory board.
"We are seeing strong growth and market demand for the new FLX Distribution model," FLX president and COO
Mark Spina wrote in a statement to
MFWire. "In response to that we are committed to a positive experience for our asset management clients and adding resources commensurate with growth. "
The four PST new hires are
Gregg Beagle,
John Feeley,
Jared Teach, and
Jack Van Dyke
, who most recently served at
Pacific Funds,
Conway Investment Research,
Hartford Funds, and
Carillon Tower Advisers, respectively. The four hires hold the title of director and report to Spina.
"As we build out the PST, these individuals add significant experience and versatility across asset classes, product wrappers, channels and geography. The PST is at the core of the new FLX Distribution model," stated Spina, noting that "[FLX expects] to add more to the PST over time."
DeRemer currently serves as a special advisory partner at
Grail Partners. Her previous experience includes serving as an investment banker at Putnam Lovell NBF and founding DeRemer + Associates, a consultancy focused on the US mutual fund industry.
"Darlene has terrific experience across asset management and financial technology. As a leading advisor to the financial services industry, she has particular expertise in the implementation of innovative service strategies, experience which is highly applicable to FLX Distribution," Spina stated to
MFWire. "We have an exceptionally strong board in place and expect to add modestly."
These additions follow the
unveiling
of the FLX PST and its first four members in August. Spina, who created the PST,
joined FLX
back in May.
