A
Columbia Threadneedle executive is taking over the board of a mutual fund industry trade group, and six other executives are joining the board.
Yesterday
Jim Fitzpatrick, president and CEO of
Nicsa,
confirmed that
Scott Brady, head of U.S. product development and strategy at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, has been elected chairman of Nicsa's board of directors. Like Nicsa, Brady is based in the Boston area. He is also one of seven officers on Nicsa's executive committee.
Nicsa's membership has also elected six new board members:
Janet Bienkowski, vice president of client and specialized services at
MFS (who also joins the Nicsa executive committee);
Kevin Mahn, president and chief investment officer of
Hennion and Walsh;
Jennifer McGovern, managing director of U.S. retail product management and development at
BlackRock;
Michael Melles, senior vice president and product manager for transfer agency solutions at
FIS;
Melanie Pickett, executive vice president and head of front office solutions and global product executive for alternatives at
Northern Trust; and
Gem Pushpaharan, chief operating officer in the U.S. for
Allianz Global Investors. The
board now has 28 members.
Fitzpatrick lauds Brady for the latter's "comprehensive knowledge base and strategic outlook on the asset management industry." Brady, in turn, anticipates addressing "a cross-section of wide-ranging industry perspectives, experience, and expertise."
