A McKinsey Vet Takes Over Part of a $631B-AUM Firm

Reported by Lauren Corradi

A management consulting veteran is taking over distribution and more at a $631-billion-AUM, publicly traded asset manager.

Onur Erzan
McKinsey & Company
Director, Senior Partner
Yesterday Seth Bernstein, presidnet and CEO of AllianceBernstein (AB [profile]), confirmed that, on January 4, Onur Ezran will join New York City-based AB and AllianceBernstein Holding as head of the global client group. Erzan will succeed Bob Keith, current head of global client group AB. Keith will assume an advisor role in the new year and retire from AB on June 30, 2021.

Erzan currently serves as senior partner at McKinsey, co-leading the firm's wealth and asset management practice in North America. A McKinsey spokesperson did not immediately return a call for comment.

In his new role at AB, Ezran will be responsible for all client services, sales, and marketing, in addition to product strategy, management, and development worldwide. He will report to Seth Bernstein.

"We are confident that Onur will bring a valued perspective on strategy and growth, and his broad viewpoint will help AB plan for change in our industry," stated Bernstein.

"We'd like to recognize Bob [Keith] for his leadership, dedication and innumerable contributions to the firm these last 24 years and for the tremendous success of AB's retail and institutional businesses. We wish him all the best in the years to come," Beinstein stated.

A graduate from Middle East Technical University and Columbia business school, Erzan has served at McKinsey for nearly 20 years as senior partner and partner.

A graduate from Brown University, Keith has served at AB for nearly 25 years.
