The team at a publicly traded asset manager in Tennessee recently welcomed a 28-year Allianz and Pimco veteran into their ranks.

Kerry Anne Murphy AllianceBernstein Senior Relationship Advisor

On September 19, Kerry Murphy joined Nashville-based AllianceBernstein [profile] on the insurance services team as a senior relationship advisor. Murphy, who is based in New York City, most recently served as a director and senior relationship manager in the subadvisory business at Allianz Global Investors. (AllianzGI sold most of their U.S. business to Voya earlier this year.)

Pete Slatterly, managing director and head of U.S. subadvisory at Allianz, did not return a call or email for comment.

At AllianceBernstein, Murphy will report to Mike Hart, senior vice president in U.S. insurance. She replaces Brian Horvath, who left AllianceBernstein in June and has since moved on to an SVP position with Munich Re Markets.

An AllianceBernstein spokesperson confirms that Murphy's duties include "continuing to expand AllianceBernstein's presence in sub-advisory insurance distribution."

Prior to joining Allianz in 2001, Murphy was with PIMCO Advisors for seven years as a senior vice president and national account manager. She is an alumna of Fairfield University.
