Mark Pollard rejoins Putnam Investments as a managing director and chief executive officer of European equities.

Pollard left Putnam in 2000 for Lazard Asset Management. He now leaves Jura Capital LLP to rejoin Putnam.

Pollard, who will be based in London, will be responsible for all London-based equity analysts and all European fundamental equity research.

"Mark's hiring is a significant development for Putnam in Europe as it represents a major step in the firm's strategy of building local experience and capability in European Equities," stated Stephen Cohen, head of Putnam's European business.
