The position will be filled with Andrew Ceresney
, who has long worked under new SEC chair Mary Jo White
, including for five years in the Manhattan US Attorney's office and at Debevoise & Plimpton.
The announcement is White's first big decision and could come today, according to reporter Jean Eaglesham.
