There have been a lot of changes at Invesco
] in recent years. The firm has rebranded (dropping the AIM legacy) and jumped into the ETF game with the acquisition of PowerShares
. This year Invesco added Morgan Stanley
's mutual fund business into that mix.
joined Invesco in 2005, resigning as co-CEO of Franklin Resources
to take the opportunity. He had been at the West Coast firm for more than 20 years after starting his career with Templeton, Galbraith & Hansberger and Arthur Andersen & Co. It was the 1992 merger between Franklin and Templeton that Flanagan points to as a formative experience guiding his reshaping of Invesco.
