Vanguard on Wednesday unveiled a service that will enable investors to stay clued in on the latest news about the second largest mutual fund company.
The Valley Forge, Pennsylvania-based firm said that with its Real Simple Syndication (RSS) service, which is free of charge, Vanguard news headlines can be delivered automatically to investors' personalized web pages or newsreader software.
When news articles are uploaded on the personal investors page on Vanguard's Web site, the headlines will appear as links on RSS subscribers' My MSN or My Yahoo! news pages, or in their RSS aggregator software.
Investors interested in signing up for the service can choose from four news feeds: mutual fund news, investing and personal finance news, Vanguard's economic week in review and all news articles.
In the same news release, Vanguard said it has joined forces with
Symantec to offer the Norton Internet Security 2006 to shareholders at a discount. Registered users of Vanguard.com can download the security suite on Vanguard's Web site.
