A combined 30 years of company service will leave
Janus Capital Group at the end of the month.
Claire Young and
Blaine Rollins -- portfolio managers for the
Janus Olympus Fund and
Janus World Funds Plc -- U.S. All Cap Growth Fund, and the
Janus Triton Fund, respectively -- plan to retire on June 30, the Denver-based investment management company
announced Thursday.
Portfolio manager
Ron Sachs of the
Janus Orion Fund, who has spent the past decade at Janus, will take over management of the Olympus Fund and World Funds Plc from Young, while continuing to manage the Orion Fund, as he has done since its launch six years ago.
Rollins will be succeeded at the year-old Triton Fund by
Chad Meade and
Brian Schaub, two Janus research analysts.
Janus CEO and chief investment officer
Gary Black mourned the departure of the two veteran fund managers, while praising their successors.
"Claire and Blaine have had long, distinguished careers at Janus and we wish them well in their future endeavors," Black said in the release. "Although we'll miss them, they leave behind a strong team with exceptional talent that is ready to deliver for shareholders."
Young and Rollins have been with Janus for 14 and 16 years each, respectively.
