The Wall Street Journal interviewed themselves instead. The Los Angeles-based firm prefers to put the financial advisors who sell it's funds front and center, and has long believed that it is stepping in front of the advisors if it gives interviews to the press. While this strategy has cost them a name brand with the average investor, it has made them a hero with brokers far and wide. Obviously, the strategy continues to frustrate reporters far and wide.
