Advisors Asset Management Hires SVP

Advisors Asset Management, a division of Fixed Income Securities, LP has tapped Eugene E. Peroni, Jr. as senior vice president. He will be responsible for unit investment trust product development and equity-portfolio management. Peroni was previously senior managing director for equity research at Claymore Advisors.


Eugene E. Peroni, Jr. has joined Advisors Asset Management (AAM) (aamsecurities.com) a division of Fixed Income Securities, LP (FIS) (http://www.fisbonds.com) as a Senior Vice President. At AAM Mr. Peroni will be responsible for Unit Investment Trust (UIT) product development as well as equity-portfolio management. Mr. Peroni has over 30 years of investment management and analysis experience. He will be based in Philadelphia and begins his new position immediately. Founded in 1979, FIS is a leading income-solutions provider for financial professionals.

Mr. Peroni, a recognized market strategist, is known for "The Peroni Method" for selecting stocks, pioneered by Eugene Peroni Sr. over 50 years ago. This strategy employs a bottom-up approach that analyzes technical data for more than 1,000 stocks on a daily basis. He will put these techniques to work at AAM.

At his last position Mr. Peroni was Senior Managing Director, Equity Research for Claymore Advisors. Earlier in his career he served as Managing Director, Equity Research for Nuveen Investments. Prior to that Mr. Peroni was Director of Technical Research for Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont.
