Not all growth managers are suffering a slack selling season.
Heritage Asset Management (St Petersburg, Florida) is finding sales robust enough to carve out a new national sales manager position.
Jamie Atkinson joins the unit of Raymond James from
SEI Investments. He takes the reigns of the sales department from
Robert Brady, president. Brady included the sales duties in is list of responsibilities in since his promotion to president a year ago.
The firm also hired
Lans Slack, formerly at
Eagle Asset Management, to cover the central territory. He takes the title of regional vice president and reports to Atkinson.
The firm now has a sales team of seven wholesalers and one national account manager reporting to Atkinson. A spokesperson said that there are no expectations to add to the team at this time.
The spokesperson added that Heritage turned in its best sales numbers of the year in December. These were the result of strong performance numbers for the firm's Mid Cap Growth Fund and a step up on promotional activities.
