Ed O'Farrell, the former publisher of Ignites has landed at Family Wealth Report. There he takes the same title he held at Ignites. The Family Wealth Report is an online subscription-based publication that covers the wealth-management business. O'Farrell takes the publishing reins from Thomas Coyle, who continues in his role as editor. Jamie Waller is the CEO of FWR.

Lisa Lacy, a reporter covering fund operations for Ignites, will be leaving the publication, according to an e-mail that was sent within Ignites last week. Sources within the company say Lacy is heading back to school.

Tom Leswing has left his position of regulatory and compliance reporter at Ignites. Sources tell the MFWire that Leswing has taken a position with Neuberger Berman. A spokesman for the Neuberger could not be reached for comment. Taking over Leswings' position at Ignites is Peter Ortiz, who started today.

Advertisers in Portfolio Magazine may want to think twice before making a multiple-month commitment to the pub as the editorial turmoil it has come to be associated with, persists. Last Tuesday, deputy editor Jim Impoco was dismissed by editor-in -chief, Joanne Lipman, according to WWD. Sources suggested that there was mounting tension between the two.

Michael Thayer has joined Carpenter Group, a New York City-based financial services advertising firm. Thayer was formerly in the sales support group for Bank of America's independent advisor and I-O divisions.
