More changes are in store in
Columbia Management's top ranks following the announcement earlier this month that
Michael Jones, former head of distribution, would be replacing
Keith Banks as president of Bank of America's investment management unit. Today, the Boston-based asset manager announced three new key appointments.
Michael Pelzar has joined Columbia Management as head of product
management, he will focus on the continued expansion of product development and delivery. Previously, Pelzar led business development for
Bank of America's Global Wealth & Investment Management division.
Colin Moore, chief investment officer and head of alternative investments at Columbia Management, will oversee the company's investment management platforms, including the equity, fixed income and cash areas.
Finally,
Stephen Peacher, who was previously responsible for the fixed income investment platform, has been named as the head of the new fixed income investments and liquidity strategies area, reporting to Moore.
No word yet on whether or not Columbia has found a replacement for Jones as head of distribution.
