Herring Moves into the CEO Spot at American Beacon

American Beacon Advisors' president, Douglas Herring, is now also the firm's CEO. He takes the reins from William Quinn, who remains as chairman. The change marks the culmination of a succession plan put in place when Herring was appointed president in March 2006.

American Beacon Advisors, Inc., announces the appointment of Douglas G. Herring as Chief Executive Officer, made as of January 1, 2008. Mr. Herring currently serves as President, and he will retain that title. Mr. Herring will succeed William F. Quinn as CEO, and Mr. Quinn will remain as Chairman.

This move is the culmination of a leadership succession plan that was put in place in March 2006, when Mr. Herring was elected President of American Beacon Advisors to eventually succeed Mr. Quinn.
