Peter Leahy, executive vice president and chief product officer at
State Street Global Advisors is reportedly leaving the Boston firm.
P&I reports that Leahy's duties will be handled by other members of SSgA's executive team.
Besides Leahy, three other SSgA executives are said to be departing the company: senior managing director
Roger Petrin, who heads up the global trading and implementation groups; senior managing director
Klaus Esswein, who oversees the German and Swiss units; and senior managing director
Jean-Francois Schock who leads the Europe, Middle East and Africa strategic growth group.
The departures come five months after SSgA saw a change at the top. Old Mutual's
Scott Powers took the helm of SSgA in May, taking over from
Bill Hunt (see
The MFWire April 4, 2008).
Leahy joined SSgA in 1991 as a member of the global structured products group. He went on to lead the group and in 2004, he oversaw the finance, technology, operations and human resources for SSgA worldwide. Prior to joining SSgA, Leahy was with Bankers Trust Investment Management in the derivative products and index management groups.
