Bob Reynolds wants "mark-to-market" accounting rules suspended, but he also wants the government to just let "zombie companies" die.

reports that, after a Thursday morning speech to the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, the
Putnam CEO told reporters that the federal government should stop propping up the likes of
AIG.
"Let them go," Reynolds said. "We've pumped so much money into them, to what end?"
"We need to end the half-measures, denials and uncertainty," Reynolds said earlier in his speech. "Let's get beyond this lemon socialism we've been drifting into."
