Eric Sutherland, who joined Allianz Global Investors Distributors last summer as head of distribution and national accounts, on Tuesday reorganized his team, The MFWire has learned. The reorg resulted in the departure of four people, including two national sales managers.

Allianz Global Investors Distributors sells Pimco and Allianz funds.

The restructuring eliminated the roles of Jay Rosoff, national sales manager for the independent channel; Bill Thomas, national sales manager for the wirehouse channel; and divisional sales managers Bill Lynch and Joe McMenamin.

"This restructuring will create a flatter sales management structure that will allow AGID to be as client centric as possible," Allianz spokeswoman Megan Frank wrote in an e-mailed statement to The MFWire.

Rosoff and Thomas' direct reports will now report to Sutherland.

The reorg reduced the number of divisional sales managers from six to four. It was not immediately clear who Lynch and McMenamin's direct reports will now report to.

The changes are effective immediately.
