Fidelity is mourning one of its own. In the Thursday "Fund Times" column,
Morningstar's Ryan Leggio
reports that
Victor Thay, manager of
Fidelity Export & Multinational and co-manager of
Fidelity Advisor Global Capital Appreciation, has died.
Thay's
obituary in the
Boston Globe that the 35-year-old Canadian native died on February 2. A memorial service was held last Friday, February 12. Fundsters who Thay may want to visit his
memorial site.
According to Morningstar,
Fidelity Select Computers manager
Heather Carrillo will take over Fidelity Export & Multinational. And
Fidelity Advisor Mid Cap II and
VIP Mid Cap Portfolio manager
Thomas Allen will take over Fidelity Advisor Global Capital Appreciation, succeeding both Thay and co-manager
Sammy Simnegar.
