Niche Fund Firm Converts TA System

by: Sean Hanna, Editor in Chief

Bridgeway Funds has selected software from Transfer Solutions of Leesburg, Virginia as its transfer agency and shareholder accounting system. The fund firm has already converted to the Visual FAST system from a proprietary system that it had used before.

Glen Feagins, chief financial officer of Bridgeway declined to name the other systems that it considered. He added that the conversion was made to automate the firm's operations and lower the fund firm's costs.

"The automation and cost advantages of Visual FAST flow well into our philosophy of providing the highest level of service at the lowest cost possible to our shareholders," explained Feagins. He added that screen logic, processing speed, Fund/SERV capabilities and Transfer Solutions' Microsoft-only platform were key factors in the selection.

Transfer Solutions provides client/server-based mutual fund shareholder accounting systems and claims clients in Asia, Europe, North America and the Caribbean.
