John Hancock Funds has hired Thomas Norton to be a vice president and portfolio manager of mid-cap stocks. Along with Paul Berlinguet, he will co-manage the John Hancock Mid-Cap Growth Fund. Norton comes to the firm from Baring Asset Management where he was head of the global technology sector team.
