Nancy Curtiss, who played a key role in
Virtus Investment Partners' spin-off from the Phoenix Companies,
is leaving her post as head of operations at Virtus. The Hartford, Connecticut-based firm has yet to name a replacement.
Curtiss, 57, will retire from the company on June 30, according to an
8-K filing.
"Nancy will be missed and we are all extremely grateful to her for her exceptional contribution to our Company over the years
in many aspects of the business, particularly in connection with our spin-off from our former parent,"
Virtus president and CEO George Aylward stated in the filing. "We wish her the best in the future."
Asked about Curtiss' replacement, Virtus spokesman Joe Fazzino said: "The decision about her replacement will be made over the next several weeks with her input."
"We have a terrific team who works with Nancy," Fazzino added.
