American Beacon has added 11 wholesalers over the last 18 months and may add another three down the road.

In the future, the Fort Worth, Texas-based firm could add wholesalers to cover Northern California, the Minnesota/Missouri area, and Georgia and the Carolinas, said American Beacon CEO Gene Needles in a recent interview.

Over the last 18 months, American Beacon added 11 retail salespeople. American Beacon already has four sales pros primarily calling on consultants and platforms.

In October, the firm brought on board Invesco Aim alum Scott Widder as national sales manager of intermediary sales. Widder reports to Brian Brett, vice president of sales.
