Vanguard has been one of the fund firms that are, well, at the vanguard of social media usage. So it's no surprise that the Valley Forge, Pennsylvania-based firm has caught the eye of SearchCIO.com.

Abha Kumar, principal for IT at Vanguard, told the pub that the use of social media tools forms part of a three-point Enterprise 2.0 strategy aimed at "enabling robust collaboration, increasing mobility and enriching communications."
