There's some chatter about Pioneer Investments [see profile] coming from across the pond. David Shand of UK's Daily Express reports on speculation that insurance buyout vehicle Resolution is looking at making a play for UniCredit's Pioneer.

"It is on the lookout for further deals and gossips reckoned it could make a move for Pioneer, UniCredit's fund management arm," Shand writes.
