State Street Corp. [

The Boston Herald's Jessice Van Sack
reported on Sunday that employes who had worked 35, 36.25 and 37.5 hours will be expected to work 40 hours "and take a half-hour for an updated lunch break as of Dec. 27."
State Street spokeswoman Marie McGehee told the pub: "As a result of our recent growth and recent acquisitions, we reviewed our work force practices to eliminate scheduling variances."
Word of the longer work week comes two weeks after State Street Corp. announced plans to cut about 1,400 jobs through the end of next year.
