The T. Rowe Price [profile] has yet another way to boost their already-powerful retail brand. The Baltimore-based mutual fund shop has climbed aboard the smart phone bandwagon via a new app for iPhone and iPod Touch.

The app, available for free in the Apple App store, allows investors to log in using the username and password they already have through T. Rowe.

The app lets investors check their account balances, view asset allocation, track their fund performance and conduct research, among other actions.

The security features are similar to the security on the normal T. Rowe Price website.

The T. Rowe Price Personal App is available in the United States as a free download from the App Store on the iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore. Investors with existing accounts can login using their T. Rowe Price username and password.

The launch of the T. Rowe Price Personal App follows the launch earlier this year of the T. Rowe Price Investor® Magazine App for iPad™, which gives free access to the company’s quarterly magazine for mutual fund shareholders.
