Reuters reports that U.S. mutual fund investors piled $14.82 billion into equity funds the week ending Jan. 9, according to data dating back to 2007 and compiled by the
Investment Company Institute.
The ICI data showed that inflows into funds that focus on U.S. stocks and funds that focus on foreign stocks accounted for the total inflow. Funds that specialize in U.S. stocks stood out with estimated inflows of $8 billion, also the most on record, according to
Reuters.
