Franklin Templeton has redesigned its primary Web site
FranklinTempleton.com. The new look added content, customization and services for financial advisors, institutional clients and the firm's shareholders. Franklin Resources is one of a dozen stock exchange listed fund firms.
The redesign is part of an effort to save financial advisors time when they use the site, said
Peter Jones, president of Franklin Templeton Distributors. He said the firm is delivering "comprehensive information fast," with the new site.
Jenny Bolt, chief Web officer, said that the project was one of the firm's most significant to date. "In developing the new site we have been able to greatly expand the breadth and depth of our online content and functionality," she added. "Additionally, the navigation is structured to save visitors time by requiring fewer clicks to reach most information."
For institutional clients the firm added pages that show portfolio-reporting information and they added a "myPage" feature that provides targeted messages, contact information, quarterly statements, manager commentaries and other information.
