Munder Capital Management [
profile] is hot property, and firms are scrambling to bid.
Crestview Partners indicated it was looking to sell the Birmingham, Michigan-based firm
last June. At that time,
Reuters' Jessica Toonkel reported that the business could sell for as much as $400 million. Today, Toonkel
follows up on the story, broadcasting that the private equity firms
Thoma Bravo,
Blackstone Group in partnership with
Advent International, and
Corsair in partnership with
Flexpoint Ford LLC have all submitted bids for Munder. That Blackstone, Advent, and Thoma Bravo are in the game isn't news. Toonkel reported this last August, but
back then, Lightyear Capital and Genstar Capital were also alleged players.
Who is in the lead is anyone's guess: none of the firms involved have commented. See the
Reuters story
here.
