Highland has signed 
Bob Froehlich onto its board of trustees.
Froehlich will serve as an independent trustee and on the Audit and Governance Committees of the board of 
Highland Capital Mutual Funds.
Her currently serves as a trustee on a number of other boards, including those of the 
AR Capital Real Estate Income Fund, the 
ARC (American Realty Capital) Realty Finance Trust, Inc. and the 
ARC (American Realty Capital) Healthcare Trust II, Inc.
Froehlich is the co-owner and largest minority shareholder of the 
Kane Country Cougars baseball team, which is an affiliate of the 
Chicago Cubs. 
He also played semi-pro baseball in the 
Greater Pittsburgh Semi-Pro Federation Baseball League.
He's been at bat for many years within the fund industry as well. He served as the mutual fund officer, executive vice president and chief investment strategist at the 
Hartford; a vice chairman for 
DWS Investments,   
Deutsche Asset Management, and 
Scudder Investments and the 
Kemper Funds.
 
He also served nearly eight years at the 
Van Kampen Funds, ultimately serving as chief investment strategies at 
Van Kampen American Capital.
