Marsh & McLennan said on Sunday that it still has no information on whether the head of its
Putnam Investments unit will receive a bonus for 2002 after regulatory documents filed Friday indicated that none would be paid, according to a recent
Reuters report.
"This was a preliminary filing and it does not include any information on bonuses. That will be provided in a subsequent filing," said a spokesman for Marsh & McLennan, in the report.
Late Friday, Marsh filed a preliminary proxy statement with the SEC that stated how much it paid its top executives, including Lawrence Lasser, Putnam's president and CEO.
In better times, Lasser received a bonus of $17 million for 2001 and a $33 million for 2000.
