U.S. ETFs' assets are about to hit $2 trillion.
Deborah Fuhr's ETFGI predicts that assets in U.S.-listed exchange-traded funds and other exchange-traded products will "break through the US$2 trillion milestone day." U.S-listed ETFs held $1.98 trillion as of November 30, after a $42.4 billion in inflows in November (a monthly record).
That action, incidentally, was almost entirely in ETFs invested in stocks. $41.2 billion of those net inflows went into equity ETFs, compared to $1.7 billion into fixed income ETFs and $321 million out of commodity ETFs.
Worldwide ETF assets hit $2.76 trillion, and ETFGI predicts that number will pass $3 trillion in the first half of next year.
