On Friday after the close of trading,
S&P Dow Jones Indices added BlackRock [
profile] to the
S&P 100 index, replacing Hewlett-Packard.
FINalternatives and
Seeking Alpha both picked up on the news.
The
S&P 100 does include some financial services giants, like Bank of America, J.P. Morgan Chase, and Wells Fargo. Yet it appears that
Larry Fink and Co will be the only pure play asset managers on the list.
