This afternoon
Susan Wyderko and her Mutual Fund Directors Forum (
MFDF) team will
host a "Nuts and Bolts of Being a Director" program at the Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C. The event is exclusively for independent directors of U.S. mutual funds.
Tomorrow Wyderko and her team will
kick off MFDF's 2018
Policy Conference, also at the Four Seasons in Washington, D.C. The two-day event will feature a number of speakers, including:
Thoreau Bartmann, senior special counsel to the head of rulemaking in the SEC's division of investment management;
Paul Cellupica, deputy director of the SEC's division of investment management;
Kevin Edgar, chief counsel on the Financial Services Committee in the U.S. House of Representatives;
Carl Tannenbaum, executive vice president and chief economist at
Northern Trust; and many more.
On Friday
MFWire's offices will be closed in observance of the Good Friday market holiday.
On Saturday
Daria Foster will retire as managing partner of
Lord Abbett.
Doug Sieg will become the next managing partner on Sunday.
