Legg Mason shareholders have elected
Margaret Milner Richardson to its board of directors. Before joining the Baltimore firm's board, Richardson served as the Commissioner of Internal Revenue from 1993 to 1997. From 1997 until her retirement in June of this year, she was a partner at Ernst & Young, where she was the National Director of IRS Practice & Procedure and an advisor to the Foreign Investment Advisory Council in Russia.
Richardson is also a member of the Council of the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars and serves on the George Washington University Law School Advisory Board as well as on the Boards of the US-Russia Business Council, the Eurasia Foundation and the National Museum of Women in the Arts, among other professional and charitable activities.
