The folks at
Rafferty's Direxion,
BlackRock,
Innovator, and 24 other fund firms have reason to celebrate (at least remotely) this week.
Yesterday, the
ETF.com team
revealed the finalists for the seventh annual
ETF.com Awards. The shortlist includes five individual contenders the lifetime achievement award as well as a host of nominees across a variety of firm and fund awards. Winners will be revealed next month at an online awards ceremony that is free and open to the public.
Direxion leads the pack so with with seven nominations, while BlackRock (including iShares) has six, and Innovator has five (including a lifetime achievement nomination for chief
Bruce Bond). Other lifetime achievement nominees include:
Bloomberg's Eric Balchunas,
Bitwise's Matt Hougan,
Wealhfront's Burton Malkiel, and
VanEck's Jan Van Eck.
Ark,
DFA,
Invesco, and
Vanguard have four nominations each.
Mirae's Global X and
Roundhill each landed three.
Recipients of two nominations each included:
American Century (and its Avantis arm),
Amplify,
BNY Mellon,
Defiance,
Janus Henderson,
SoFi,
TrueShares, and Van Eck.
Fund firms with one nomination each included:
6 Meridian,
Fidelity,
