A journalism veteran is joining a $75 billion-AUM ETF shop's C-suite.

Yesterday, Michael Sapir, CEO of ProShares [profile], confirmed that he has hired Eric Dash as executive director and chief content and communications officer for the Bethesda, Maryland-based fund firm. Dash now reports to Sapir.

Dash most recently served as founder and principal of Golden Triangle Strategies, LLC. Earlier, he worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury and spent eight years with the New York Times.

"Eric has the right skills and experience to elevate our company's content and communications, and help take our business to the next level," Sapir states.

"ProShares' products and culture of innovation have positioned the business exceptionally well for continued, sustainable growth," Dash states. "I'm looking forward to working with the team on building a fully integrated communications program to share that story."

Dash is an alumnus of the London School of Economics and Political Science and of the University of Pennsylvania.
