At a Beantown investment management firm, one eighteen-year veteran has retired and a former State Street managing director has taken his place.
Earlier this year, longtime
Natixis Investment Managers senior vice president and fund treasurer
Michael Kardok retired from the Boston-based firm,
MFWire has learned. Kardok started at the firm in 2004.
Kardok was succeeded at the start of July by
Matt Block, who most recently served as a vice president. Block, who did not immediately respond to an email for comment, joined Natixis in 2018.
A Natixis spokesperson writes to
MFWire, "I can confirm that Michael retired in July of this year and Matt Block was appointed SVP, Fund Treasurer, and Department Head for Fund Administration and Business Operations effective July 1, 2022."
Before
joining Natixis, Kardok served as a senior director for PFPC's fund accounting and administration group. He is an alumnus of Northeastern University.
Block was a managing director with State Street from 2017 to 2018. For six years before that, he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers, first as a manager and then as a senior manager. He is an alumnus of the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Editor's Note: A prior version of this story gave the wrong timing for the timing of Michael Kardok. A Natixis spokesperson provided an updated quote to clarify that Kardok retired in July.
