New York Life Investment Management LLC appointed
Brian Murdock, 48, president of the company. Murdock replaces
Steve Roussin, who left NYLIM after seven years. He will report to chairman and CEO
Gary Wendlandt.
Any realignment resulting from the switch over won't be complete until Murdock arrives at NYLIM, a company spokesperson said. She added that "he'll be on board in about three weeks."
Murdock comes from
Merrill Lynch Investment Management, where his most recent position was COO of MLIM Americas. A MLIM spokesperson said that the only person authorized to comment on the position was out of the office.
At NYLIM, Murdock will oversee Guaranteed Products, Retirement Plan Services, Retail Investments and New York Life Capital Partners LLC, among other units. He will also serve on the board of New York Life Investment Management.
