The Hartford Financial Services group has hired Dr. Quincy Krosby as a chief investment strategist within The Hartford Investment Management Company, the company announced on Monday.
The Investment Management Company runs The Hartford's bond mutual funds (the company's equity funds are run by Wellington Management).
Krosby's job will be to reach out to brokers, advisors and institutional investors by providing analysis of macroeconomic activity. Krosby will also join the company's investment strategy committee, which decides portfolio strategy based on economic data. The committee is composed of portfolio managers and other investment staff.

Krosby reports to David M. Znamierowski, president of Hartford Investment Management Company and chief investment officer of The Hartford.
Krosby was hired away from Deutsche Bank Scudder Investments, where she was a global investment strategist.
Christine Pollak, spokeswoman for Deutsche Bank Scudder said that the firm has not yet made a decision on a replacement for Krosby.
