The Denver Broncos will play their opening game against the Kansas City Chiefs this Sunday at...?
Well, it's currently called
Invesco Field at Mile High. But news that the fund firm will drop the Invesco brand for its U.S. retail business has more than a few people -- including the folks at the
Rocky Mountain News -- wondering about the fate of the stadium.
RMN reports that Invesco has not contacted the Metropolitan Football Stadium District about withdrawing from their naming rights agreement for Mile High, which currently holds until 2021.
Invesco paid the most recent bill, due on August 1, of the $120 million naming deal.
"We do not comment on the relationships with our sponsors except to say that Invesco has been an excellent partner for us," Denver Broncos spokesman Jim Saccomano told the
RMN. "We do not see the current events affecting our partnerships with them at this time."
