We hope those working at TCW Galileo Funds are Rams fans. According to the
L.A. Times the Los Angeles-based fund group has tapped Pat Haden as the new independent chair for its fund boards, replacing the group's non-independent chair.
Like many fund groups TCW is swapping board chairs in reaction to new SEC rule requiring independent board chairs for funds. Haden takes over the board from $6.5 billion TCW Group executive Marc I. Stern.
Haden, 51, is a former quarterback for the Los Angeles Rams football team during the 1970s. He is now a partner at the private-equity firm of Riordan, Lewis & Haden in Los Angeles and he has been a director of the TCW funds since May 2001.
